Lawmakers in the eastern German state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have elected a new premier.
Social Democrat Erwin Sellering replaces Harald Ringstorff, who announced his resignation in August. Mecklenburg-West Pomerania is governed by a grand coalition made up of the Social and Christian Democrats.
